When I went to Oswestry yesterday I also picked up a few things. My slippers and chain lube that I left at Ed's party but also a bread machine that Ben's family have kindly given to me. Tonight I decided to give it a go, I don't really want loaves of bread most of the time though. What I want most of the time are flatbreads and, sometimes, baps. Luckily, the machine will do dough, including raising time etc... So I decided to try make some focaccia. The machine did the hard work and I just had to shove ingredients in the pan and leave it until ready. Once ready I just put the dough in a pan and stretched it to fit using my hands, then baked. I think I left it slightly too long because the outside has gone slightly hard rather than it all being soft but the inside is nice, light and soft. It tastes a bit bland but that's down to the ingredients and this being a first time so plenty of space for improvements.
